1. How long does it take to complete the profile questionnaire?
The questionnaire is conducted online and consists of 25 questions, typically taking no more than 15 minutes. The results are submitted to Colour Works
and the profile prepared within 24 hours. We prefer to post rather than email
for security reasons. To request a questionnaire, you need to submit our
contact form.

2. How is the Insights/Colour Works profile different to other personality profiles?
The Insights Discovery® profile is unique. It is the only one that gives you the opportunity to say ‘most/least’ AND grade other responses. This means that there is much greater clarity, accuracy and detail in the result. Whilst adhering strictly to the principles of Jungian psychology, the use of colours allows for greater flexibility of ‘typing’ and thereby less categorisation.

The Insights/Colour Works profile is also much easier to understand than many others. You do not need an understanding of psychology or have any special training in order to make sense of the profiling. It is presented in user-friendly, accessible terms with simple visuals. Most importantly, this profile values the differences in people, rather than clumps them together as ‘types’.

3. How can I use the profile to help me find a job?
The profile gives you insight into using your strengths effectively and managing your weaknesses intelligently. Your preferred working environment, your motivators and your stressors are all covered, together with a look at how you handle ‘difficult’ people. All of these things are invaluable when looking at your career choices.

4. How can I use the profile to assess my professional goals?
From time to time, we all ask ‘why am I doing this?’ The profile encourages that internal conversation and helps you to reflect on what is really important and what your unique needs and stressors are.

5. How much does a profile cost and what does it include?
The Discovery® profile service ranges from £65 to £150, depending on the depth of information you need. Every profile includes the Foundation section (your personal style, how you interact with others, your blind spots, etc). Additional chapters include: Management Style, Selling Style, Personal Achievement (‘Living on Purpose’) and Interview Style (including 10 steps to test your emotional intelligence). For more information on these sections, see Colour Works for You.

6. Thanks for the profile, how do I get to work on my key points?
There are a range of further coaching opportunities available. There are a number of self development work modules available in hard copy or online. There are team-based Colour Works workshops and there are open workshops run throughout the year. For more information, see our events or contact us.

7. What are the direct business benefits of Colour Works on teams?
The business benefits include more open and honest relationships internally and externally with clients, suppliers and partners. The improvement in communications means stronger, more robust partnerships and this has a direct impact on the company’s performance, with greater productivity and better staff retention.

8. Can I see a sample profile?
Yes. Use our contact form to request an email sample of the key pages of the profile.

9. How often should we repeat the profile for best results?
Typically, you won’t need to repeat the profile unless there are radical changes in your career or lifestyle, or you are experiencing a significant change in stress levels. However, you will need to schedule regular reviews of your goals, etc, in order to make the most of the information. This can be an informal date with yourself or further development with Colour Works. Sign up for our regular newsletter to stay informed.

10. How do the workshops run?
The Colour Works workshops are a safe, non-threatening, high energy experience. The emphasis is on fun, motivation, learning and the freedom to enjoy all types of personality and personal styles. You come away with your unique, detailed profile, the appropriate Colour Works hat and – typically – a great big smile.

11. Ask us a question.
