Improve personal effectiveness and quality of relationship.
The Insights Discovery Personal Profile is a personal development tool that lights the way in everything we do because it starts the journey, as it should, with you. Using an accessible, memorable colour system, it gives individuals an engaging, reinforcing and transformational insight into themselves and others. It creates an awareness that acts as the launchpad for improved personal effectiveness, team performance and workplace culture.
What is Discovery?
The Discovery Personal Profile is produced from responses to a 25-frame evaluator. It is unique to the individual and measures their preferred way of being through the medium of the Insights Discovery 4 colour energies of behaviour. These make the model easy to understand and therefore use in practical day-to-day applications. At its core is the Foundation chapter and there are four additional chapters that can be used to support different learning programmes.
The Foundation Chapter includes an Overview, Key Strengths & Weaknesses, Value to the Team, Communication, Possible Blind Spots, Dealing with your Difficult Person & Suggestions for Development
Invaluable for both managers and reports, the Management Chapter is a valuable inclusion within any training programme. It enables individuals at all levels to consider their own style as well as the needs of others they report to or manage in terms of Ideal Environment, Needs in Being Managed, Motivation and preferred Management Style.
The Personal Achievement Chapter leads the individual from an initial understanding of self towards an exploration of how they can grow and improve in specific areas of personal achievement such as goal setting. The chapter can form an integral part of a personal effectiveness or coaching programme, and includes Living on Purpose, Life & Time Management, Personal Creativity, Life Long Learning & Learning Style.
Anyone whose role involves selling or influencing people will find the Effective Selling Chapter invaluable. It is an ideal component for a sales training programme and an excellent coaching tool for sales managers to use with their team members. The chapter explores Before the Sale Begins, Identifying Needs, Proposing, Handling Buyer Resistance, Gaining Commitment, Follow-up and Follow-through & Sales Preference indicators.
Lastly, the Interview Chapter is a one-page supplement which provides pertinent questions for use as part of a selection process. The questions probe the candidate in the areas he or she may find difficult or challenging and can be used in conjunction with job specific questions. Using this chapter will help establish the candidate’s self-awareness levels in terms of both strengths and areas for development.

Testing the Insights Discovery Evaluator
The Insights Discovery model is based on the extensive research of Swiss psychologist Carl Jung and the subsequent work of Jolande Jacobi, one of his leading students. The model uses four colours to represent observable behavioural patterns which are measured by the Insights Discovery evaluator; a 25-frame questionnaire of 100 word pairs, which when completed, produces the Insights Discovery Profile.
The evaluator has been tested and updated for reliability and robustness to measure the quality of the 100 word pairs and weaker ones replaced with stronger ones.
Due to the rigorous testing of the validity and reliability of the model, when you complete an evaluator you know that it’s an accurate assessment of your unique preferences. The constant evolution of language means that the Insights Discovery Evaluator will continue to develop, in all of its 30+ languages.
