Are you interested in people development?

Would you like to understand more about coaching and your coaching style?

Would your organisation benefit from a coaching culture?

Why attend?

The working landscape has significantly changed, and with it, so must the way we interact, communicate, and develop our people.

Coaching is recognised as the most effective way to unleash talent, create engagement and empower people to take responsibility for their behaviour, attitudes, personal growth, and career.

At The Colour Works, we adopt a coaching approach to everything we do, and when coupled with the Insights Discovery colour model and personal profiles the ethos of coaching accelerates understanding and embeds accountability.

How will I benefit?

This 60-minute workshop will help you:

  • Adopt a coaching style to your communication
  • Increase self-awareness
  • See how you can use your Insights Discovery profile for self-coaching
  • Be accountable for your own development
  • ā€˜Walk in the shoes of others’ by meeting likeminded people
  • Understand what a coaching culture is and how it benefits all involved

Why this workshop is important

Since the pandemic, people have more autonomy, and with that comes responsibility and accountability for our own actions, workload, and personal development. This workshop is important because when weā€™re executing tasks, meeting deadlines, and working towards objectives we tend to let our personal development slide, and without a leader, manager, or appraiser to help highlight our needs, personal growth can falter, stalling future productivity.

In this workshop, we will

  • Introduce you to the science behind coaching
  • Help you understand what attitudes, tools, and techniques are required to coach
  • Bring to life your strengths as a coach through the colour model
  • Give you a framework to start developing your skills as a coach
  • Create some time and space for you to reflect on your Discovery profile

Who can attend?

Attendees should have previous experience of the colour model and be genuinely interested in developing others as well as themselves.

If you are new to the colour model please attend our introductory workshop first: Understanding Others ā€“ A Colourful Guide to Behaviour

Comments from past participants

"Good balance between solutions and underlying theory. Good coverage in one hour."

"Never seen the grief curve used to describe an implementation of Microsoft Office! So straightforward and so true. Inspired!"

"I thought it was a very useful session. Applying the colours to the Clarity/Support/Direction phases plus interacting with people in the breakout rooms were most informative. Sallie led the session well and Ian was a great support. Thank you."

"Very good, simply and clearly explained. Thank you. I enjoyed it."

"Thanks for running this session. I'd not used the break out rooms - very good, great to have the 2 min count down to end of discussion. Was very useful to see what other people are doing, particularly in relation to COVID-related change."

"The break out sessions, although a little awkward at first were invaluable."
