Has the third lockdown had an impact on you and your team?

Maybe you are missing human contact, or could use strategies to maintain motivation?

Would you like to understand more about change and learn new ways to manage it better?

Since the first lockdown in March 2020 The Colour Works has been offering free-to-attend virtual workshops to help people through these challenging times.

Our ambition is to continue to bring people together and create a community of those who’ve been introduced to the colour model, along with engaging those who have yet to experience it. During these workshops you’ll connect, share and learn from each other. And now, in these extraordinary circumstances and with everyone being channelled into virtual communication, this learning community is more important than ever.

How will I benefit?

Whether you have experienced a Colour Works intervention before, or are new to the colour model, this 90-minute workshop will:

  • Deepen your self-awareness
  • Give you a greater appreciation of those with a different behavioural style
  • Help you understand what stress is and how best to manage it
  • Develop strategies to build resilience in both yourself and others
  • Give you some tools and techniques that can be passed to your team
  • Gain an understanding of how other professionals are handling the current situation

Why this workshop is important

Lockdown 3.0 is taking its toll. Teams and leaders feel exhausted and need tools and techniques to reenergise themselves and others.

As we continue to navigate our way through times of instability, our own behaviour and that of our colleagues will inevitably change. Without the benefit of face-to-face contact, we need to adapt our communication styles more than ever, and the Discovery model of behaviour can give a vital insight into how to do this.

In this workshop we will:

  • Refresh/introduce the Insights Discovery model and the four colour energies
  • Look at the colours under pressure and how they may show up in our behaviour
  • Explore resilience when under stress or experiencing change
  • Hold discussions in breakout rooms to identify and share coping strategies and present back (participation is optional for those who prefer to observe rather than take part)
  • Summarise, highlighting tangible actions to achieving greater resilience

Comments from past participants

"Really valuable session especially throughout this period of isolation. Food for thought on how I can change my actions and further understand how my different colour profile colleagues may be feeling."

"Never seen the grief curve used to describe an implementation of Microsoft Office! So straightforward and so true. Inspired!"

"I found today really good. I was a little nervous beforehand – what was it going to be like / the format etc. soon as it got underway I was fine. Well presented, well-formatted – 1 hour flew by! I started today not feeling great, but after 1 hour felt a lot better. Remembering how we move from one colour to another – made me feel a bit more ‘normal’ with the thoughts/actions I have been experiencing. Keep up the great work and thank you for today!"

"Thank you for hosting what has been the most useful resilience workshop that I have attended during lockdown. It was so useful to be able to discuss with others who knew their colour preferences the ways of coping that worked for us, often coping mechanisms tend to be too generic."

"Thanks for running this session. I'd not used the break out rooms - very good, great to have the 2 min count down to end of discussion. Was very useful to see what other people are doing, particularly in relation to COVID-related change."

"Would just like to say thank you. I woke up yesterday feeling really fed up. Many days have been the same with endless Zoom meetings with learners and meetings. I felt this was just the thing I needed yesterday and really enjoyed all of the content and the breakout room where I could speak with likeminded people."
